hdan and I used to have about writing simulation engines using "Furlongs Per Fortnight" as a standardized unit of speed. This joke arose because we were stunned to discover the flight simulation engine we were using used FEET as the standard unit of measure. Everybody knows that imperial measurements are reserved only for attempts at explicatives on Star Trek and stupid American cars and associated gas pumps. Down with IMPERIAL measurements, METRIC DAMN YOU!
