Nov. 3rd, 2003 10:35 amIt was a good weekend and I got to bed at a quite reasonable hour last night, but all I wanted to do this morning was crawl under the covers and sleep until noon... There was a light frost on the grass outside my window and under the covers was the only warm place in the house. The weather people had predicted a chance of snow, but it is actually quite sunny and clear today.
After playing at the UCC Living Greyhawk game--ironically playing an adventure titled "Witch Hunt"--I headed over to the TERRA Witches' Ball. They had quite a turn-out... Normally TERRA events get between 20 and 30 people, but there seemed to be closer to 100 at the Witches' Ball. With the exception of a few faces from OLOTEAS and the poly group and the dozen or so regular TERRA people, I have no idea where most of these people came from. Heather Alexander was good as always. I would have stayed to help clean up, but I had an early morning the next day and the Ball didn't even end until midnight. I left about 11:30p and got to bed around 1am.
Sunday I had to get up at 8am because the two Living Force online games were scheduled to start at 11am... Eastern. Bleh. This was, however, my only chance to play them before I have to judge one of them next weekend. It was worth the lack of sleep. I had a good time with the group (as usual), and my Star Wars character Sara managed to obtain some fun equipment (a cool tool kit for her Ms. Fix-it skills, a potted plant for her nature-girl inquiries, and a makeup kit intended for use in disguise but will probably end up being used for her upcoming date with a military officer she helped beat-up and subsequently healed in a recent bar brawl...).
This morning is going pretty slow at work and we have a bunch of meetings planned for this afternoon, so this morning I'm trying to get approval for my GenCon SoCal and Holiday vacation plans. Need to book those flights ASAP.
