The best laid plans...
Sep. 30th, 2003 10:46 pmSo I was going to play a Living Force game online tonight, but one of the players had a death in the family so we rescheduled for November. So I went to Poly Third Place to discover it was a total zoo because Dave Barry was speaking at Third Place--which made it the place to be if you were hoping to pick up hippy, politically minded liberterian chicks/guys. The parking lot was packed, and there were only a handful of the regulars for poly dinner in attendance.
rubylou,
jeliza, and
drakemonger were going to try for Third Place with the bean, but after warning them of the crowd we decided to meet for dinner elsewhere instead. So, we had a great dinner at Bombay Grill and did some shopping at Half Price Books. It was nice to have some company for the evening.
I ended up purchasing a number of CDs as the Half Price had a good selection of things I had been meaning to buy for a while now: kd lang drag, melissa etheridge your little secret, jewel this way, ani difranco dilate, and sarah mclachlan mirrorball. The first two are "replacements" since Angela took those CDs in the split--one of the problems of shopping for CDs is trying to remember if I owned it before and if I have replaced it yet or not.
Listening to mirrorball I realized that i will remember you no longer yanks my heart-strings the way it once did--for a while it was Kim and I's 'song' as it were, which should tell you something about how screwed up our relationship really was :> do what you have to do of course still makes me teary-eyed:
