After dinner, loree was feeling pretty wiped so we watched a movie on DVD. Loree & Marty have recently grown their movie library way past my own--frankly, it isn't fair... the boy gets an employee discount at Amazon.Com! Anyhow, we watched Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever. It was one of those movies were almost every cool scene is shown in the trailer. When the director and producer credit was noted as KAOS, I knew we were in trouble--sounds like a l33t haxor group from Sweden. There was really only one good line not in the trailer: Antonio Banderas comments on Lucy Liu's weapons collection and she responds "Some women buy shoes". You see better fights with Lucy in Charlie's Angels, but I have to admit that this is one of the few films I didn't dislike Antonio Banderas in--The 13th Warrior probably being the only movie I consider great. Still, it was fun if extremely predictable. Oh, and apparently trains in Vancouver B.C. are chock full of explosive materials; I'd avoid going there.
Overall it was a pleasant day. Not thrilling, but nice. Maybe next year's will be a 'special' day full of fantastic fun and deeply rewarding... Frankly, I'd be satisfied with just feeling like more of my regular days are worthwhile.
