Snow Week

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week we worked from home to avoid the Snowpocalypse 2010, or more accurately the Seattle drivers who have no idea how to drive in good weather much less inclement weather. The VPN worked great, and I was actually able to accomplish a fair amount of work. With half of my team on vacation, there wasn't much in the way of meetings this week to have problems with telecommuting.

[livejournal.com profile] cuddlyeconomist and I got a little stircrazy, but we did get out of the house a few times to get groceries for Thanksgiving and have a nice lunch out. Thankfully we are not having a repeat of last year's Furnance Hell, and the house has been warm and comfortable for the whole time. We also didn't have any power problems, which would otherwise have made it a hardship. Watched a fair amount of The West Wing, played some Harry Potter Lego on the Xbox 360, and froze some snowballs for Rhys who just missed the snow by a few hours on Sunday. We were happy to have him miss the mess and the SeaTac shutdown, even if he isn't.

Today we are making our contributions for a shared Thanksgiving Feast with [livejournal.com profile] loree, [livejournal.com profile] tithonium, and a few other non-LJ folks: stuffing, yeast rolls, pumpkin pie, apple pie, cranberry sauce, and the gravy tools.
