The West Wing

cuddlyeconomist and I have been watching The West Wing lately. I never watched it when it was originally on the air--thinking about the White House during the Shrub years was just too damn depressing at the time. It's been fun watching a half-dozen epsiodes at a time. I have to say it also a bit nostalgic. Remember the good old days when national debate was about "English as a national language", school prayer, and what to do with huge surpluses. It reminds me just how much we wasted the good times as a nation.

I can see why Margo loves it given that the president is supposed to be a know-it-all PhD in Economics.
