Back to Seattle

cuddlyeconomist and I took Rhys back to Houston after his summer with us this weekend, and attended her dad's 65th Birthday Party. It was crazy hot and humid, but at least it was a pool party. We managed to visit with her friends and grandparents as well. The trip back was delayed by nearly 3 hours thanks to weather--oh, Texas--, but we are back. I'm glad the current heatwave here in Seattle is dying cuz I'm done with being hot and sticky for a while...

It was a good trip, and Rhys seemed to enjoy himself. Much fun was had, but I'm glad we are home again.

Memorable moments include Rhys insisting that Margo take out her Safety Card and review it as instructed in the Safety Briefing flying from Seattle to Houston. Then later when we were hitting turbulence, the first thing he did was pull it back out and reviewed it again for any last-minute instructions he might have missed on first perusal.

Another was when Margo's brother introduced us to his friend at the party as "Hogtrap", to which Margo responded, "Hogtrap? Really? Son what is your Christian name, because I know your mamma don't call you 'Hogtrap'"...
