Today is my last day in Austin before heading back home to Seattle later today. Last weekend,

cuddlyeconomist and I flew in to Austin, stayed the night with a friend, and then drove to San Antonio to pick up Rhys. We spent the weekend visiting my folks, who seemed to enjoy a taste of pseudo-grandparent-hood with a trip to the zoo. Mom is still moving pretty slow after all her medical issues this year, but she seemed in better spirits and is (hopefully) on the road to recovery. Rhys was his usual charming self, and seemed to enjoy the trip. Sunday afternoon we drove back to Austin to meet up with some people in town from Houston who drove Rhys back home on their return.

Monday and Tuesday was mostly a blur of visiting and Tex-Mex before

cuddlyeconomist headed back to Seattle. I stayed in town to attend the Austin Game Conference which ends today. It was great to see
