Aug. 13th, 2003 12:14 pmThis week has been rather slow so far, but it will at least be full of things to do the rest of it. I still haven't heard back from my interview last week, so I'm a little anxious about that one. I had another interview this week that turned out to be another informal meeting, which might turn into a real interview sometime. At least I'm not hearing crickets.
I'm hoping to have some kind of job lined up for October, and make a trip back to Texas mid-September. Protocon is Sept 19-21st, and I'd like to visit some Austin friends and consume Tex-Mex. I'll probably fly into San Antonio 9-15 to visit with my folks and bum a car, spend the week in Austin, and then drive up to College Station for the convention over the weekend, head back to Austin for another day or so and then San Antonio for a day and the flight out 9-25 or so. This whole plan would, of course, be FAR more enjoyable if I had a job waiting for me when I return.
My sleep schedule is slowly being warped into outright silliness.... I have been staying up until 1am and sleeping in until 11am despite having my alarm set for 9:45am. Hitting the snoozebar every 15 minutes for over an hour makes for bizarre dreams, and last night's was another angst-filled dream about my love-life with some kind of Star Wars theme. I'm sure having spent most of yesterday reviewing material in the Ultimate Alien Anthology for the Living Force campaign provided the setting...
Going to Dragonflight this weekend, which is a very cool gaming-only convention held in downtown Seattle. It is held in the Seattle University dorms, which doesn't have A.C., but hopefully it won't be quite as hot this year as it was last time--or at least that I remember to bring my box-fan this year. I'll be spending most of the time judging RPGA events, but my roomie from college,
hackard, is flying in for the con so I hope to have some quality time to visit while I'm there.
So I'm going to clean house as I have a guest coming up today through Friday and find some food...
