After two weeks of travel getting little sleep mostly due to too much coughing and strange beds, I got up at 5:30am Eastern (which is 2:30am Pacific) to go the airport this morning. I took a short, bumpy flight to JFK on JetBlue, then rode two trains, the subway, and did a bit of walking to arrive at my brother's apartment. A pretty low-key visit, mostly spending some time with him the week of his birthday.

I head back home tomorrow evening, and I really look forward to spending a number of nights in my own bed with my own pillows.
