I'm home again in Seattle. It was a good trip to Austin, and while the 20th High School Reunion in San Antonio was mostly a bust (I really only talked to one person I knew from high school, and let's just leave it at "we were not the best of friends"), it was a lot of quality time with [livejournal.com profile] cuddlyeconomist and a chance to enjoy some excellent Tex-Mex at Blanco Cafe. We finished today with a half-day at SeaWorld of Texas. It seemed fitting since it opened the year I graduated from said high school. The Cult of Shamu was a bit disturbing, but it was fun to get a chance to play around in a water park the last day of the season.

The not so good news is that I'm back on the road Tuesday with a last minute trip to Boston to help out a developer, giving me only one day home. I also seem to have developed an allergy to the State of Texas and have been coughing and uncomfortable for a week. My connecting flight from Denver back to Seattle was also over an hour late getting thanks to a mechanical problem just after we pushed back from the gate requiring we return to it and wait for the fix. And to top it all off, the shorts I was wearing tore leaving my butt hanging out pretty much the entire 8 hours of travel.

On the up side it did give me enough time to wrap up listening to the rest of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

I just did a pile of bills, Koshka is quite pissy with me (after some suitable amount of welcoming shoulder rides and soft food), and I really don't have the choice of skipping work tomorrow--it will be my only day in 2 1/2 weeks to get some stuff done in the office.

So I'm going to jump into the shower for a quick rinse, and try to get some solid sleep in my own bed albeit propped up a bit in an effort to avoid bronchitis.
