August Insanity Ex

So my month of crazy has an encore. SIGGRAPH, Gamefest, Dragonflight, PAX, and my brother's visit in August have come and gone. Todd got on his plane yesterday, and it seems he made it home to find his contractors are behind schedule on his apartment. He's been living out of his suitcase for a few weeks, and I think he's tired of it. Otherwise, we had a great visit although having my 'lifestyle coach' in town is always pricey in terms of fashion updates.

The fall semester is starting soon for Digipen, and I'm currently sitting at the campus waiting for the Adjunct Faculty Orientation meeting. The lab is not a lot of work, but they would love for me to take on more teaching. I'm off to Gamefest Japan next week where I'm giving four talks: three on one day, not one of which I gave at Gamefest US. Thankfully I got the more problematic one substituted for a talk I gave at the Korea DX10 Day. A few days after I return from Tokyo, my parents will be arriving for about a week. The week after they leave, I'm off to the Northwest Fall Equinox Festival.

Work can be best summarized by Don Hertzfeldt's Rejected bit with the happy little clouds saying "My anus is bleeding!" / "Yay!!!"
