I've not been back in the office since November 14th. First a trip down to San Francisco, back to Portland for Orycon, then a full week off for Thanksgiving, then a trip up to Vancouver, B.C. If tomorrow turns out to be another Snow Day, I won't make it in until Friday--although it seems unlikely that the whole day will be nasty, just the morning.

Thanksgiving Day was a low-key event. Nobody felt like cooking, so I met up with [livejournal.com profile] jeliza et al along with [livejournal.com profile] divinemisso, [livejournal.com profile] loree and [livejournal.com profile] datavore for a simple meal at Marie Calendar's. Since I didn't get an opportunity to show off my baking-fu for Thanksgiving, I made yeast rolls for the OLOTEAS ritual Saturday night.

The trip to Vancouver was primarily spent in the hotel or around the corner at the developer's office. They were more friendly with going out to meals than the SF group, which I appreciated given that both trips were done basically solo--the Developer Account Manager was not available for either trip. With the bad weather, I didn't feel like venturing out on the streets and the friend I wanted to meet up with ended up busy working long days.

There might well be a trip back to Texas coming up, but it is also quite possible it will be delayed until after the holidays. My next booked trip is going to NYC for Christmas with my brother and the folks.

Took Koshka to the vet last week and again she has been given the label "stable". Since [livejournal.com profile] loree came to check in on her this morning, she's defintely giving me the cold shoulder this evening.

I stocked up on groceries in case tomorrow's weather turns particularly bad. My old apartment had some rather nasty hills just getting out of the complex, so the new place is easier to get out of. There are still some rather major hills and if the East/West highways are hosed it will make the commute pretty tough. Then again, compared to Sunday it can't really be all that bad.
