walbournI've relocated to my house in Westwood and checked out of my apartment. Wednesday was a damn long day, but the move is done.
I did not get as far as I had originally hoped in terms of having the flooring all ready before the move day, but I did get all the floor preparation done, all the lighting, and the wall behind my massive glass lens of a television completely done (painted, moulded, floored, etc). Going to try to wrap up the flooring this weekend as well as get the bulk of the interior painting done.
All-in-all, I'm pretty pleased with how much I did get done and how the house is coming together. I've got a long way to go, but progress is definitely evident. I managed to maintain a good pace through all of last week despite the sometimes intense physical labor, although the move day did push it. Yeah for professional movers or I'd be dead.
Koshka is a bit freaked by the change, of course, but is taking it a lot better than she did the move up here. Of course I didn't have her drugged on a plane for 6 hours, breaking her of an indoor/outdoor habit, or arriving at a completely empty house overnight, which helps.
Lots to do and hopefully my home internet will be working this weekend sometime.
