Speaking of Lovecraftian squee:jeliza and family followed up last year's gift of the excellent That Darn Squid God! this year with a copy of The Atrocity Archives. It's Lovecraft horror meets Ian Fleming spy intrigue meets Dilbert IT/office culture antics set in a fictional modern-day Britain where the work of Alan Turing on computations that can summon entities from beyond is the best kept secret in the world. Excellent book, deeply creepy and realistic, and amusing. Both books are highly recommended for Cthulhu fans.
