Flight update

walbournIn the crazy mixed-up world of flight routing--aka scheduling brinksmanship--my travel today is unusually chaotic. I'm sitting at the gate in Austin waiting for the airplane to show up from San Fran, which at this point is scheduled to arrive 2 hours late. Then my flight to Denver leaves, which according to the website arrives 4 minutes before my flight to Seattle leaves. Oh, and the second flight is still listed as 'on time'.
I pointed this out to the nice peeps and they gave me a reservation on a slightly later flight home from Denver (flight #569) should the connecting flight (#461) give up on my sorry ass and leave without me for the sake of their own 'on time' percentage. At least I found out about the first flight delay while I still had my rental car and could kill time in a Half-Priced Books instead of the lovely Austin airport.
It's going to be a messy quick-cleaned flight at best, but frankly I don't care too much as long as (a) the toilets aren't backed up and (b) the plane actually functions properly as a flying machine.
Update: Well, we at least have an airplane in Austin now.
Update 2: So my flight from Denver arrived 5 minutes early. Of course it left early without me since my flight from Austin arrived 20 minutes after my connection, so I had to take the later flight.
