Book recommendation
Mar. 27th, 2006 04:20 pmA co-worker loaned me a book to read on a recent trip. Given that we do a lot of travel, the 'travelogue' novel tends to reasonate with our experiences. Anyhow, it's J. Maarten Troost's The Sex Lives of Cannibals: Adrift in the Equatorial Pacific. If you ever thought that an island paradise sounds like fun, read it before you go. Very humorous, and sprinkled in is a bit of the history of Colonialism and the treatment of native people's in the region.
