loree and friends Friday night, and again with some of my gaming buddies Saturday night. Quite enjoyable both times, and basically the same movie I saw the sneak of a few months back. So twice on opening weekend is my part in helping the success of the film and hopefully the return of Firefly. My parents, who I managed to hook on the show via a set of DVDs sent for Father's Day, called me Saturday night to say they just saw the movie themselves. Now we just need to get my brother hooked.
My only complaint is not enough of Inara shooting whatever the hell she had in her hands near the end of the film. It looked like a cross between a shortbow and a bowcaster from Star Wars. Sweet. First rule of being a companion: look good doing whatever it is you are doing, and do it with style!
