SIGGRAPH Day 1

Spent the morning picking up my registration and getting a late breakfast. The afternoon was a course on advanced cloth simulation, catching a few of the animation festival runs, and the paper sessions fast forward (which is basically every one of the 90 something papers presented in a back-to-back series of one minute teasers). There were some really cool papers, particularly related to photography and high dynamic range lighting. Cool stuff. I'll have to make a point to show the digial photography stuff to jeliza.
