walbournIt was a pretty successful conference. I had a busy day Tuesday between giving two 1 hour presentations and getting my brother to the airport for his flight home, but it all worked out. I was in charge of wrangling for the whole Windows platform track, and it seems like all the talks were well recieved. There was a fair amount of stress with one of my speakers really pushing the envelope in terms of getting his deck together, but I was happy with the result in any case.
The conference party at The Garage was good again this year, although not as well attended. The conference had more people than last year, but it seems most of them went to dinners rather than the party. I dug my pool cue out of the closet and had some good runs at 9-ball, the staff there is cute as always, and everyone else seemed to enjoy the free booze with abandon. I sucked at my one round of bowling.
Today was a lot less stressful since I didn't have any talks, so I spent the day hanging out with the people who put on most of our events and attending other presentations. With traffic being pretty bad at the time the conference ended, I had dinner downtown and watched The Fanstastic Four instead of fighting through it. The movie was silly and a bit camp--although not the crap that was the last attempt at making a film based on that comic book--, but fun.
