My apartment building sits at the back of my complex down a hill, so with this morning's snow I was not able to get any traction to get out. Then I was informed of a Pacific Northwest driving secret: cat liter. A few dozen handfuls of liter scattered about later, I got up the hill just fine and naturally all the rest of the roads were already clear.

After living here over 3 years, noone has yet given me a copy of the Secrets of the locals pamphlet. I guess I'll just have to go with extracting the lore bit by bit as the situation arises...
