Winter Break 2011

It was a great Texas family trip. We planned the whole thing a lot better than 2 years back (the last time we got Rhys starting the day after Christmas). Instead of flying to Houston, driving to San Antonio, back to Houston, back to San Antonio, and then back to Houston with a side-trip to Austin in the space of a week, we managed to convince my family that we should move "Walbourn" Christmas to the 27th. We also made sure my brother Todd and his partner actually planned their flights accordingly. cuddlyeconomist's family for several days, got Rhys, drove to San Antonio, and had a few days with my folks. Given Professor X's limited patience for the car seat, that worked out pretty well. Alas, that also meant we had to skip the side-trip to Austin this year.
Lots of good food, lots of presents (which we got home thanks to DrB and Rhys having Silver Elite status on Continental and 2 free checked bags a piece), and plenty of Professor X's charming little smile.
