The New Year

nerdvana party a bit before midnight. It was nice to see ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
loree, datavore, hollyking, hollyqueen, vixyish, and even drakemonger made an appearance. I need to get an early start tomorrow morning, so I figured it would be best to get home and try to get to sleep as well as miss out on the NYE drunks heading home.
To some extent, I also felt a bit lonely. I guess it is the standard holiday blues mixed with a bit of history and a general feeling of being a little isolated. It is pretty silly since I knew at least a dozen people at the party from previous events, so I'm sure at least part of it is just plain bad old habits. In any case, I think I'm best served by getting some sleep rather than staying up late and letting the emotion get the best of me.
