(no subject)

Looks like the trip to Russia will probably happen. I started the visa application today and damn do they ask some invasive questions. I expected some of them, but others are crazy. "List every professional, civil, and charitable institution you are (were) a member of, contribute (contributed) to, or work (worked) for." And they give you like 1/2 inch by 3 inches space. WTF?

It will be a long-ass trip and I'm pretty much flying solo on this one for several hours of presentations. I think it will be fun, but a hell of a lot of work...

So, I'm going to try to just relax this weekend before the run-up to the trip. I'll still be making it to Norwescon next weekend, which I'm also looking forward to doing again this year. Should be an interesting few weeks...
