Chronicles of Riddick
Jun. 17th, 2004 11:17 pmThe Fast and the Furian!*
Riddick was a fun, silly movie. I have to give it a lot of credit for creating a unique visual setting and staying true to it, but it is difficult to wrap your head around the idea of the main hero being a convict AND the savior of humanity, but whatever. Lots of silly humor, neato effects, pointless violence, sexy chicks, and Judy Dench for the bonus fun! Besides, Vin Diesel is a fellow D&D gamer, I have to support him :>
This one requires turning off the noggin in many places, but here are a few things I had a hard time not pondering...
( spoilerish observations )
In short, fun summer movie... but definitely pay matinee prices!
The reviews of the game based on the movie seem to indicate it is pretty darn cool. Given the dismal state of most movie-based games, that is quite an accomplishment. Besides, I think the 2D personalities of the movie would probably work pretty well in an interactive medium :>
