GDC Wrap-up
Mar. 28th, 2004 11:56 amI had a very good time at GDC this year. While I didn't run into a lot of old-time industry friends, I did run into a few of them:
silona from the Austin game scene/high school days, former partner at Charybdis Tim Little, Mike McShaffry (aka Mr Mike) formerly of Origin Systems, and a few other faces from previous GDCs.
The conference left me excited about the games industry again and realizing I have some technical things to train up on, notably C# (which more people are using for tools these days since MFC has been deprecated for years) and the new High Level Shader Language for DirectX 9.
