jeliza and I have a date for tomorrow--I'm immensely pleased she is back in town--, and I have plans to game Saturday afternoon, so I decided to do a grocery run and cook dinner in. I noticed that Resident Evil: Apocalypse, while it technical opens tomorrow, has midnight showings. I asked myself do I be a good boy, do the responsible thing, and go to bed at a reasonable hour? Or do I do the fun fan boy thing and stay up late watching it tonight. I debated, noticed it was only an 1 hour and 34 minute run time, and said: "Why the fuck not?"
I'll be at Redmond Town Center enjoying the Milla Jovovich goodness tonight.
Reviews are pretty positive that if you enjoyed the first movie, the second one is better. Frankly, I have a hard time seeing me not enjoying any movie with Milla kicking ass. My only disappointment is that they don't have Michelle Rodriguez in this one...
Is the "hot chicks with guns" thing sexist and two dimensional? Sure. But hey, there's nothing wrong with a little brain candy as long as you recognize it for what it is...
