walbournI noticed I had the desire to post a number of songs today as the 'lyrics of the day'. It ranged from Jim Croce's Operator , to Ani Difranco's Swan Dive, and Kate Bush's Love & Anger. I guess that puts me firmly in the mildly angsty category, although it was a pretty nice day overall.
Work was productive, the afternoon was beautiful and sunny, and I had a good time with dinner and a movie with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
lycantras, faecat, et al. Bulletproof Monk was a fun, if silly, American Kung-Fu film. The editing was a little jumpy in places, but it was a sweet story and had amusing dialog and fairly cool action sequences. A long damn way from the The Matrix: Reloaded, but at least it was more interesting than The One.
Norwescon starts tomorrow, so I'll be busy during the evenings the next few nights. I leave for Austin next Wednesday for a long weekend with old friends, and probably a few old ghosts, but there's Tex Mex, gaming, and camping with nekkid (half-naked anyway) pagan chicks in it so that's cool by me.
Finishing up the day with bills and sending in my registration for Summerstar. Hopefully I'll meet up with a few people at the con, meet some new faces, and so on. Next Tuesday is also a local LJ Meetup, which should be a nice cap to my week before getting on a plane for 3+ hours.
