House Projects

So the garage project is partially done. They arrived this morning, installed everything, and were done by mid-afternoon. Looks like my weekend project will be to unload the shed into it, and then perhaps take some nice organized pictures to post. I also got my attic organized for storage, and put a few bins up there with a portion of my rather excessive gaming library and a few keepsakes to make a bit of space in the drawers and shelves in the computer room. Over the holiday I got a shiny new Elfa organizer shelf for the computer room, and put the old one in the newly set up garage. I was trying to get the garage done before the Christmas break, but alas the Sno-pocalypse and holiday plans forced a reschedule.
The next project will be getting rid of the shed, and hopefully getting the hardscape on the yard started before the spring.
Update: Got everything moved into the garage from the shed, throwing out some junk I don't really need. It looks really nice, and I still have plenty of space left over. I need to go through some old SCA garb and get rid of some of it, but otherwise the shed->garage thing is done. The only remaining issue is what to do with the window A/C unit that I've been keeping in the shed in the off-season. There's not really a good place to put it in the garage that wouldn't block access to other stuff, and it's damn heavy to move up and down the outside steps. Most people it seems store such things in their basements, but this house doesn't have one. Given the flooding problems I'm normally happy with that, but it would be convienent at times. Perhaps some kind of mini-shed thing should remain in the plans for the yard redo.
