Work has been pretty quiet all week. Much of my team was in London to speak at Gamefest UK. I spent the time trying to catch up on a backlog of other things I’ve been pushing since Gamefest US ate my June and July completely.

Friday night [livejournal.com profile] cuddlyeconomist and I went to see The Goonies on the lawn of the Seattle Center as part of their Movies at the Mural program. It was good, silly fun. The somewhat local tie for the film’s setting (Astoria, OR) meant a lot of cheering and local in-jokes. I should really make a Goonies Pilgrimage down there and visit [livejournal.com profile] saoba while I’m at it.

Saturday was a lazy day of sleeping in, doing some light cleaning, getting a few more plants for [livejournal.com profile] cuddlyeconomist’s garden project for my front yard, and that night [livejournal.com profile] jeliza and I managed a date--with the summer schedule, we have both been damn busy.

[livejournal.com profile] jfrands and [livejournal.com profile] greendreams returned from their cruise early Sunday, and [livejournal.com profile] cuddlyeconomist and I spent the day hanging out with them. We capped the day off with a lovely dinner at Anthony’s with [livejournal.com profile] loree and [livejournal.com profile] tithonium.

It was a little strange completely skipping Dragonflight this year, but between D&D 4E, the general direction of the RPGA away from all things that appeal to me, and the lack of the Canadians coming down there wasn't much reason to go.
