Beep is definitely wrapping up... probably did about 20 hours of work this week total doing bug-fixes and spent the rest of the time spinning my wheels surfing and leaving early. There just isn't any work to do really... I can't add more features because they would require testing, and the bug count has been steadily dwindling to zero for the programmers. Of course, had we had a second deal to work on there would be plenty to do, but there isn't. So, next week will be a short week with long lunches, early departure, and a farewell party on Thursday evening.

The OLOTEAS campout is this weekend, but I find myself totally unmotivated to go. It seems like I'm working on developing an ear infection, and Summerstar was recent enough I feel sorta 'camped out' for the month. My inclination is to spend the day playing Knights of the Old Republic on my XBox, but frankly I'll have plenty of time in August to sit around my house doing nothing productive... I should definitely not spend the entire weekend in my house.

At least I have a potential job lead to follow up, and hopefully I'll start hearing back from the half-dozen places I submitted resumes to before long. Given my depressive tendencies, I really hope this period of unemployment doesn't drag on very long or at the least I'm able to find productive things to do with my time. I have a few projects to do, but nothing that will take more than a week or so of concerted effort.

As expected, haven't heard a peep from Andrea since my short visit 2 weeks ago. It would be nice to actually have a functioning relationship with someone I care about, but that's not going to happen. Whatever issues in her mind that pushed her away to begin with seem still as strong today as they ever were... If I learned anything from my experience with Kim, I learned that most people seem quite happy to give up, walk away, and start over with someone new and trying to suggest any other course of action only makes me look stupid, obessive, and foolish.

If anyone is interested in coming to visit Seattle, August would be the month to do it! My brother is coming in the last week of August, and there are some weekend activities to keep my busy, but I'd love to spend some quality time with some friends.

Anyhow, going to finish up housework, take a shower, and see if I can shake this mood somehow and make something of the limited nice Seattle weather...
