KRI Conference Day 3
Apr. 3rd, 2005 12:59 pmThe expo continued today, but I really didn't have anything new to check out without a translator. So I wandered across the street to check out the "All Russian Exhibition Centre". Originally built to house the Olympics, it is now a combination of Moscow's "Central Park", an outdoor mall, and a carnival complete with a Russian McDonald's.
After the expo closed, we had dinner and then took the Moscow subway down to check out Red Square. Ironically, Red Square is now home to Moscow's largest and most expensive mall. I didn't bother to see if Lenin was spinning in his glass box or not.
Anyhow, took lots of pictures, and came back to the hotel to call it a day. It's certainly been a interesting trip visiting the other side of the world, but I'm quite ready to start my long journey home.
Cyrillic of the day: "bOYAYHT" is "BOWLING" and "bANAHW" is "BANANA"
