The good: Another successful thanksgiving meal this year. Much thanks to [livejournal.com profile] loree and [livejournal.com profile] tithonium for their tasty contributions. [livejournal.com profile] cuddlyeconomist's mom and of course Rhys are here for the holiday weekend. I also tried out making turkey stock since we had a nice 2 gallon All-Clad stock pot and all the equipment needed. Note to self, not only does it take hours to simmer it takes a really long time to cool, and storing over a gallon of stock is no trivial task. Today we went to see the Nutcracker, which was a first for me.

The bad: The furnace has apparently developed a hole in the heat-exchanger, so it's space heaters until we can get warranty service. Failing that we drop $3k to get a new one. It would not be the end of the world, but it's not well timed since we also got the patios put in this month. Everyone loves the holiday-timed unexpected expenses :> Then again, central heat makes a huge improvement in my life-style.

Otherwise I've been spending a lot of time playing Dragon Age. I figure I should get as much of it done as possible before the next Lord of the Rings Online expansion hits next week.
