As a pundit put it a few weeks ago, it's not really that hard for partisan politicians to 'come together' when it involves handing out 'free' money'. Of course, the real problems we have economically are not even being addressed: crushing national debt and a consumer society that buys almost exclusively imports while making basically nothing. It's the New New New New Economy!
