Update: I heard a bit of his speech this morning getting ready for work. He's crazy. Not only is he implying electing a Democrat is a "surrender to terror", but he used stupid buzz phrases like "fortify marriage". Frankly the Republicans lost me when the majority of them refused to support a belief in a fundamental tenant of modern science. Throw in their tacit support of the "execute the illegal aliens" wing of their bat*hit crazy party, and I'm gone.

Feb. 7th, 2008 08:46 pmThe more paltable John McCain gets to the "conservative" wonk groups that like to use words like "Liberty" and "Family" Newspeak-style language tricks, the less I like him. The extreme wingnut part of the Republican party is clearly having fits over their pet issues, and the sad truth is that McCain will have to jettitison a lifetime of relatively sane, moderate politics at least in "private" to really get the nomination.
