I'm NOT too sexy for this hotel...
Mar. 13th, 2007 05:39 pmThere are a dozen Paparazzi camped outside my hotel. Since it's so 'mod' and we are in the heart of London's West End, apparently many of the local celeb events happen here. There is a private reception for London's premiere of Factory Girl, and the hotel is keeping everyone not checked in as a guest or at the party out on the street. Warhol would probably feel right at home in this crazy-ass hotel, so it seems fitting.
My co-workers decided to get tickets to Avenue Q for tonight's entertainment since it's basically across the street. As a midweek showing, it was about half of what my folks paid for our tickets to a weekend showing in New York City. The show was almost identical, but I noted two deviations: the 'intermission' was renamed 'interval', and the "One Night Stand" joke used armored knights instead of bedside tables. My dad is a bit fixated on the show, so he'll probably be tickled to hear about the London production.
