Another weekend packed full of house work and a bit of socializing. Wrapped up the kitchen and bathroom painting, installed the last of my blinds, put privacy film on the last few windows, setup a new vent hood & backsplash, put some solar lights in the yard, started a tile repair for a cracked tile in the bath, installed the pot rack, made progress on putting new contact paper into the remaining cabinets, and redid the entrance door. Unfortunately despite quite a bit of sanding, it still doesn't fit over the threshold piece so I'll have to take it down again and try to grind it down some more. Looks like it needs new hinges anyhow.

It's been a long and expensive six weeks, but things are looking great if a little sparse. I unpacked the final kitchen box tonight, and my stint of living in a construction zone is pretty much over. With the exception of redoing the vinyl floor in the bathroom/kitchen/utility room, I've accomplished basically everything major I set out to do back in early August. Obviously I still have a to-do list left, but I'm pleased with the amount of work I've managed in a fairly short period of time.

And yes I'll get some before/after pictures posted when I figure out where the heck to host them.
