Be With Me is a beautifully poignant film. A bit too poignant actually, given my tendency to angst. It was slow going at first, and a little hard to piece together until the last half, but ended both an inspiring story about continuing to live despite hardship and the simple connection to others we all crave. Although it is a Singapore film, the majority of the words spoken in the film are in English. There's more subtitles for Cantonese speakers.
The trailer really doesn't do it justice.
Oh, and if you find the sight of cooked Asian dishes disgusting, don't see it. Large swaths of the film focus on the visuals of cooking and eating.
