E3 Update

Been busy with a lot of developer meetings. I've only had a chance to do a quick sweep of the South hall, the West hall, and Kentia hall without much time to linger. I'm definitely interested in checking out Neverwinter Nights 2.

Tuesday night I was at the IGDA party for a while, mostly catching up with Warren Spector. When I got started in this industry, I was owner of a little 5-6 company and he worked for the monster that is EA. Now I work for the big evil M and he's got a tiny shop he's struggling to keep the doors open. Interesting change in perspective for us both I think.

Last night I ended up at a big dinner with the Oblivion team. Ironic considering how much of the past 2 weeks of my free time their game has consumed. At least got a good meal of fajitas out of the deal :>

Celebrity whore de jure

Paris Hilton is currently creating a traffic jam in the West hall. Nothing more annoying than a celeb who's only reasons for being famous are rich parents and a willingness to be a slut. Okay, actually there is something more annoying: when said pointless celeb is making it hard to actually get from point A to point B.
