My flight from Chicago arrived a little late Sunday night, so went straight home, did some unpacking/laundry/packing and tried to get a full night's sleep despite a needy cat. Made my noonish flight down to San Jose this morning without incident, and I'm now sitting in the convention center with my GDC badge...er badges (one Exhibitor and one Gigapass). Ironically, I left sunny nice weather in Seattle behind and found overcast and constant rain here in California.
Normally I would have tried to arrive the night before the first day of tutorials and try to make one of the sessions, but the Chicago trip necessitated that I make other plans. At this point, there is maybe an hour left to the sessions today and I'll be spending almost all of tomorrow prepping or giving a talk at Microsoft's tutorial.
Going to be a long week, but once I get through my two talks I think it will be a fun one. At least the room this year is more wide than it is deep, so the crowd doesn't look too intimidating. With most of the Microsofties spending the day and tonight prepping the rooms, the hands on workshops, and the developer day I suspect tonight's rowdy whoring... I mean networking will be kept to a minimum.
