Visit Day 1

onyxlynxx and maggiemaepisces arrived this afternoon. They were delayed two days because of each of them getting sick one right after the other, leaving them stranded a day in San Francisco (not too bad) and a day in Eugene (not so much). Anyhow, they are both clearly stir-crazy from 6 days in a car plus 2 days in a hotel and onyxlynxx flies back to Austin Saturday morning. Therefore I'm taking tomorrow off to try to maximize time with them. gev arrives Monday-ish and will make the return drive with maggiemaepisces.

In case you are wondering, they drove because Meg felt she needed to bring her scooter along. Besides, road trip!

So we are packing all of Kirby's touristy stuff in tomorrow, starting with breakfast at the famous-if-you-read-my-journal Alki Cafe. Natch. Then probably Pike Street market and the Seattle Aquarium. We just got back from dinner at Cafe Septieme in Capitol Hill, which involved a fair amount of scenic viewing of the city from the road.
