Misunderstood
Jun. 17th, 2005 01:32 pmThere is something weird about me. Amazon is convinced that I'm the kind of customer that would love to buy The Perfect Man soundtrack. Having a fixation on women's music and chick-flicks tends to confuse people I meet as much as it confuses online retailers, so I should probably not be surprised.
So, just to be clear:
Music that would be featured at Lilith Fair = good
Emotional romantic movies starring strong female characters = good
Vapid movies about catching the right man = not me.
Maybe I should start a support group for "male lesbians" who don't actually have any gender dysphoria issues or cross-dressing impulses. I'm not under any delusion that a lesbian would actually be attracted to me, nor do I hope that every lesbian girl is secretly a bi-sexual. I just really like the music. The fact that the audience is usually cute is obviously a bonus purely in terms of visual stimulation. As is the fact that there is never a line for the men's room.
Update: OK, so there is a lot weird about me.
