Spent last evening visiting with one of my old gaming buddies and generally geeking. We had dinner at Conan's Pizza, a traditional Austin experience: good pizza, cozy booths, and walls decorated with Frazetta prints.

onyxlynxx was out all night for a Yule vigil, so I went right to bed after getting back to her place. I had dropped by REI earlier to get some new thermals which made for nice pajamas. Yesterday was clear and mid-70s, today is overcast and in the 40s--a lot like home :>

This morning we went to Trudy's as our preferential brunch place only serves breakfast on the weekends (ah Eastside I won't be in town to enjoy your waffle goodness).

Over the past few days I've managed to install something like a dozen service packs and security patches to Kirby's system. I figure it is the least a guest nerd who works at Microsoft can do for her in return.

Spent the day hanging out with onyxlynxx, including a highly enjoyable visit with roninjedi, and a trip to the Armadillo XMas Bazaar and dinner with maggiemaepisces. We were considering checking out the Trail of Lights but it has turned just too damn cold to want to spend much time outside. Having not gotten much in the way of sleep since her all-night vigil, Kirby finally crashed. I'm tempted to go to bed as well, but as it is only 7:40p back home I probably should stay up a while.
