Here Today, Gone Tomorrow...

Making a one day trip down to California tomorrow to do presentations for my former employer, VU Games. Ironic that. I'm actually kinda curious who the heck is still employed as an internal developer for VUG, if anyone... Still, always good to never burn bridges in an industry as tight and small as this one.

I'm getting a comp day Friday for my Korea trip that I'll spend traveling up to Victoria, B.C. for Con-Fusion. Traveling up by car and then ferry is a most-of-the-day affair, so getting the day to travel means I'll actually make it in time for the first official slot.

jeliza and I managed a very nice, if somewhat abridged, date last night. Her family are all ill and we had to reschedule from this weekend. Just as well given how jet-lagged I've been I suppose. I hope that drakemonger isn't the worse for wear taking care of divinemisso for the evening.

Found out that we are getting a few extra days off for Christmas in my group, so I'm going to have a few more vacation days to spend than I thought. I should be able to make that mid-November Austin trip plan happen even if work doesn't send me to Austin soonish. Of course, I already bought my Christmas ticket home, so I'd have to pay a change fee to take advantage of the extra time off over that week...
