May. 20th, 2004 10:16 pmThe BIOS chips worked, the 40 GB hard drive works, the CPU upgrade works (but my motherboard front-side bus only goes up to 66 Mhz instead of 100 Mhz, so it maxes at 366 Mhz instead of 500 Mhz which the chip supports), and I'm now busy doing the painful little thing called "Windows 2000 Server Installation and Configuration".
Ironically, now that I've looked closer at my motherboard it supports both old-style AT power supplies and the ATX style. Something to keep in mind if the new AT power supply starts making hideous noise in a year or two.
