Apr. 20th, 2004 12:20 pmI just found out via Orkut's Professional Game Developers community about the death of an acquaintance. It was a very sudden death by stroke. I even have the updated business card he gave me at GDC last month sitting on my desk... I meet him a few years back at GDC running the AI roundtables. He lived in Tulsa, so I only saw him once a year at GDC. Interesting friendly guy and author of many articles for the game developer community.
My sympathies to his family and friends.
This makes the first time I ever deleted someone's contact information from my phone book due to death. To date I've been very lucky to not have lost friends and loved ones to death, but I know that it will become more and more a part of my experience as I grow older. I guess that makes this news all the more disquieting...
