Well, the
RadCon website still has no useful information on it and the con starts at noon today. Should be interesting to see how many people they actually get with such a poor job of communicating the content. I'm guessing as a result there will be very few long-distance travelers, but they apparently have sold out their hotel room block.
I was originally thinking of skipping tonight to save on the hotel and just go for Sat afternoon/Sun, but that means getting up really early Sat for the drive. I also wanted to make the drive with some sunlight, at least through the Snoqualmie pass as it is quite cool to see. So, the choice is (a) save money and get up really early or (b) leave tonight and pay the extra hotel stay night to get the full con and not have to get up early on a Saturday. Given that I can probably get out of work a bit early today, I'm now leaning back to going tonight.
No guts, no glory I suppose. Given that the schedule hasn't been posted, my best chance to do the things I want to do (if they are happening) requires I get there early, so I think that pushes me even more into leaving today.
So, I'll run home over lunch and pack so I can leave directly from work...
