Spent a quiet evening at home. I've had friends over the past few nights, so it was relaxing if a little lonely. I'm obviously anxious about Koshka, but only time will tell. She is acting normal as far as I can tell, and napping on my bed at the moment--I'll have to disturb her highness to get to bed myself.

Finished up the Enter the Matrix XBox game tonight. I had played most of the way through it and put it down out of frustration. The game suffers from a lot of issues in terms of insipid level design and mediocre game engine technology, but it had some cool cutscenes. With the exception of the "bullet-time" combat aspects of the game, the cutscenes were the best part of it. The levels near the end were horrid in terms of pacing, extremely frustrating, and the final 'flying the hovercraft' stuff was just plain crap. The final 'reward' at the end of the game was just a bunch of cuts from the Matrix: Revolutions trailer. Still, it does fill in some back-story stuff that is fun. I hope that Shiny, the developer, enjoyed the crack & whores or whatever it is they spent the millions of dollars for this project on because it clearly didn't appear in the production quality of the title.

Going to head down to Tacoma tomorrow for a gameday. I haven't been down for one in a couple of months, so it will hopefully be fun to game with some people I've not seen in a while. There is supposed to be an online Living Jungle game Sunday to play the second to last adventure for the campaign. Just 4 more days until my new job starts.

PS: I love my subwoofer. Even toned way the hell down it sounds great. It kicks in even watching standard stereo TV channels, ProLogic non-5.1 DVDs, and listening to CD. Very solid bass adds so much to the experience. Yeah me. Now if I can only figure out how to set up those bookshelf secondary L/R speakers in my bedroom without having to run wires through the hall and across at least one walk-way and two closets.

Update: I gave up on the wireless solution. Too damn pricy (about $130) and I'm not really thrilled with adding more RF radition to my environment. Ran the wires under some carpet and we'll see if I manage to not trip over the wire across the closest door opening...

Well her initial blood work came back clean, so there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with her red/white bloodcell counts, liver, kidneys, or other major organs. We are still waiting on the Thyroid test. If that comes back clean, the vet suggested I bring her back in for a re-check in a month. It is possible the murmur won't be there next time, and if it is they can do an ultrasound to determine what is really going on. It does seem like there is no immediate danger since her vitals were all normal yesterday as well.

Update: Her thyroid hormone levels were a little lower than normal, but apparently association with heart conditions is only when the levels are higher than normal. So, we are at the wait and see stage.
