Today was my last day in Texas for this trip. I'm getting up at 8am CST to head to the airport for my flight home.

Had lunch today with mielikki & Eric, then came back to San Antonio for dinner with my folks and some extended family. My parents ordered a Dell computer with my help last week while I was here, and it arrived so I spent part of the evening setting it up--of course :>

I really enjoyed my vacation. It was great to spend so much time with onyxlynxx and maggiemaepisces, who I haven't really seen much in years. I wish they were still a part of my daily life, but for now I'm headed back to my life in Seattle without them. I'm lucky to have so many cool friends in Seattle now, so it makes visiting Austin fun and not a reinforced sense of loss. Besides, thanks to LJ I can continue to keep up with my Austin friends from 2300 miles away...

While I've had a good time, I really am looking forward to getting home. I miss my cat, my apartment, the comfort of my own bed, and weather that doesn't require A/C to be comfortable.

I have a second interview Friday, so hopefully I'll be able to nail down a job to start soon. The unemployment thing has been nice for the time, but the lack of money sucks and I really want to get back to paying off my debts instead of building them up.
