Apr. 13th, 2003 10:25 pmHad good weekend at Greengrass Gaming Festival running a few Living Force games and managed to play the two adventures I wanted despite scheduling conflicts. Hanging out with a 'transportationally challenged' gaming buddy this evening as we have another game tomorrow night, managed a nap this afternoon, a good dinner, and watching Kissing Jessica Stein again.
Overall life is more comfortable this year than it has been for a long while. Lonely, but comfortable. I'm slowly starting to feel like Seattle is home, and not one devoid of friendships or connections. There are a lot of things I still miss and in a way weigh me down, but one day at a time is really the best (and probably only) choice at this point.
I'm hoping to make more of this summer than last, and have a number of campout events to attend starting with a flight back to Austin in two weeks for a pagan campout with old friends. I fully expect to confront a few ghosts since the campground is at the site of many a CMA event that centered around Kim and other events of those turbulent years. Still, lots of Tex-mex and friends I rarely see will be nice, and between visiting people, gaming, camping, and dining I hopefully won't have much opportunity to dwell.
Anyhow, next event of interest is Norwescon this coming weekend, which should be a lot of hanging out, listening to cool panels, visiting with a few con-going friends, a few dances, and chicks in inappropriate clothing.
